I opted for the "transport ssh" only. I am on the home stretch for my lab
attempt so i am trying to be as realisti as possible with my practice and not
look at the DSG unitl after i am done. This forcing me to make a decision.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Looking at the DSG they have removed telnet only allowing ssh so you were
correct in your thinking

That's what I would do, or maybe ask the proctor as you suggested. So that begs
a good question for which I don't have an answer.

Which on is correct on the cats

Line vty 0 4
 Transport input telnet ssh

Or

Transport input ssh

What does it show in the DSG?

I am in the middle of Lab 17 and could use some clarification.

Question 1.1 "Configure your VTY lines o all devices so they can be reached
by telnet"

Question 2.2 "Remote access sessions on both switches must be secured and
encrypted"

These seem like conflicting questions. I am assuming that i am to follow
the more restrictive requirement and configure ssh only on CAT 1 and CAT 2
while allowing telnet to all other devices.
