I have this very strange problem and it drives me nuts. I have a 3 way frame relay cloud with R2, R5 and R6 with R2 being the hub (akin to the day 4 security lab if you use the BLS video's).
The fr cloud uses 100.100.100.0/29 For some messed up reason, R5 ALWAYS chooses it's serial1/0 ip address, 100.100.100.5, instead of it's configured loopback address 5.5.5.5. No RID has been set. R2 and R6 choose their loopback fine. I cannot seem to figure out why it does this.
