Hi All, I've just started my CCIE Written study and though havent progressed far in the book, am taking my time to lab new technologies I havent necessarily played with much. The goal being that this helps validate my theoretical knowledge.
I'm now at the section regarding policy routing through the use of OER/PfR. I just want to confirm, is PfR essentially cisco's newer take on OER? OER seems to be the original method but was limited on the attributes it could measure, and now with PfR we have active/passive monitoring and more granular functions/reporting. Would this be fair to say? I just want to make sure I concentrate on the config guides and labs for PfR? If they are linked, I appreciate that OER is worth understanding for the history but I dont want to get bogged down in old technology.
