Personally, I would be in favour of a nice little filter at the server end that 
kills messages with the work "unsubscribe" (and possibly various misspellings 
of same) in the subject line.  When the subscribers keep getting messages and 
their repeated "unsubscribe" emails never get to the list, perhaps they'll 
actually do the legwork and figure out how to actually unsubscribe properly.

That said, can we throw them a bone and put the unsubscribe link in the footers 
that get put onto every list message?
