Hi all,

Can anyone please explain the concept of "Bit Boundary" and its relation to
specifying networks utilizing ACLs? For some reason, something just isn't
clicking for me the way I want it to. When you have to summarize networks
with the fewest statements possible and you don't want to over summarize,
this is where I run into issues. I tend to over summarize networks , which
certain tasks in Volume 1 specifically tells you not to do.

When I have networks like 200.0.0.1 , 200.0.0.2 , 200.0.0.3 , etc.......it
seems simple. I run into issues when you get networks like 169.x.x.x ,
91.x.x.x , 85.x.x.x. and you are told to summarize networks in as few
statements as possible. It would take entirely too long in the real exam
to convert everything over to bits. I know there is a short cut that
IPexpert explains in the VOD, but I don't truly understand it. Can someone
please help me or point me in the right direction?

Johnnie B.
