Hi guys,

I've just been reviewing volume 1 lab 29 again. The one thing that has taken
me a little while to work out is that the version of IOS I'm using is a little
older (12.4(9)T7) and doesn't have the "bgp mpls forwarding" command that is
(as I understand it) added automatically to the appropriate interface when you
use the neighbor send-label command.

My question is, if I add the "mpls ip" command under the appropriate interface
(in the lab I'm talking about the serial link between R5 and R6), is this doing
the same thing as the "bgp mpls forwarding" command?

Everything does start working fine once I add it in. I'm just not sure if
there are any differences and if not, why would Cisco add a different command
that does the same thing?

Any comments much appreciated.

Cheers,
Ben.
