Hi all,

Just wondering if I could have some feedback on the solution to this task. We
basically have to enable multicast through another AS (45) to connect AS12 and
AS67. I don't think it's relevant but just for information sake, AS12 and AS45
are confed sub AS's of AS1245.

When I completed the lab I enabled PIM through AS45 as well as Multicast MBGP
to fix RPF. I then created MSDP peerings directly between AS12 and AS67. As
there wasn't any requirement for AS45 routers to be able to ping any groups I
didn't bother setting up an RP or creating MSDP peers with a router in AS45. I
did get the result in that routers in AS67 could ping groups from AS12 and vice
versa.

The DSG went a bit further and created an RP in AS45 and peered MSDP from AS12
<-> AS45 <-> AS67. Did I miss a point somewhere? Do you think this is
required?

Cheers,
Ben.
