We use no cdp enable switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q switchport mode trunk switchport trunk allowed vlans Data , Voice some times I see the native VLAN set to the data VLAN but above is enough. We have to throw in DHCP options for phones for first boot up; they pull boot file with information about data, voice VLANS. Phone resets as a switch trunking both voice for hand set and possibly Data for a PC jacked into it. There is an IOS version that supports it..Once this is done, the switch should be able to inform the phone on the voice vlan to use.. There is one workaround which is to boot the phone and by default it will take from the data(untagged scope) and through DHCP server you can enforce a VLAN causing the phone to request an address from the voice scope (tagged) however the phone will be booting twice.
