Khaled,

When you have equal cost paths the asterisk indicates the active route (ie. the 
route the next packet/flow will take).  The asterisk will jump between the 
routes as new packets/flows are routed.

Hi fellas,

Guys can anyone please see what is going on with my configuration.  I have
done the feasible success right for the routes heading to R7 AND R8
networks.
However, when I typed this command  ( R2#sh sir 150.100.78.0 ) at R2 this
is what I get see below:

instead?  as mentioned at the workbook?
