Hi Joe,

I dont think it is required since he didnt state this in the requirement. but i 
think he assumed that we are not going to assign the link-local address. 
look at 33.1 video solution (you learn something new  :), like i did )

In item 33.1 you have to put a bunch of IPv6 addresses on various
interfaces..

I have done so, but statically set them..

However according to the solutions guide output I should have used
EUI-64, which doesn't make sense to me since the step just states to
configure the networks with the following addressing?

So is EUI-64 actually "Required" for this step?
