Hi Jay,

On the surface this could be considered a fundamental question and quite
possibly is asked from that regard but if you consider CEF and how it works
across various platforms it can become a fairly curly question.  In my CCIE
studies I have referred to

studies which may be more than what's required but did help satisfy my own
curiosity.
