Hi all,

Was doing WB3 Lab 7 today.

Under task 3.1, which is the IPv4 BGP bit, we have an
instruction:

"Use templates for all configuration on R1".

Later, we configure MP-BGP for VPNV4 on R1, and these re-use
the templates that are configured.

However, when we come to configure PE-CE BGP on R1, out to
the CE, the DSG uses the syntax:

address-family ipv4 vrf R9

nei <IP> remote-as 1389

eni <IP> act

nei <IP> send-community

Em...hasn't this just violated the instruction to use
templates for all BGP configuration on R1???

Which leads me to a general question:

If we are given an instruction for one address family in
BGP, should be assume that this carries over into all other address families as
well?

A previos lab had us attach communities to routes in
IPv4, and this was carried over to other
address families too. Here, the
instruction appears NOT to be carried over.....

Your thoughts?

I know...ask the proctor....!!

Regards George.
