Ok finally got around to checking this, and its confusing the hell outta me and not what I thought it was!
turned off the vlan filter AM1 vlan-list 240 on all bridges and still cat1 doesn't get an instance going..... * * *sh int trunk on cat 1 (root primary vlan 240)* Port Vlans allowed and active in management domain Fa0/21 1,12,40,100,200,*240*-241,300,567,2200,2300,2567 Fa0/22 1,12,40,100,200,*240*-241,300,567,2200,2300,2567 Fa0/23 1,12,40,100,200,*240*-241,300,567,2200,2300,2567 Fa0/24 1,12,40,100,200,*240*-241,300,567,2200,2300,2567 Po14 1,12,40,100,200,*240*-241,300,567,2200,2300,2567 why would it be spanning tree forwarding if Cat1-Rapid#show spanning-tree vlan 240 Spanning tree instance(s) for vlan 240 does not exist. iv tried turning cat 1 into rpvst from pvst to make sure it wasn't a 802.1d port role issue, still the same...what gives man help!
