I prefer to just use rapid STP in those cases. Since I often enable
BPDUGuard as default for Portfast, connecting another switch wouldn't
work out well for me...

Many multi-VLAN network devices that are not switches are fine to have
portfast applied, though, like routers, firewalls, wireless
controllers, IPS, etc.

The other place I tend to use Portfast trunk these days is on VM
servers since they often have hosts in multiple VLANs.
