I'm reaching back in my memory because I haven't labbed this in a while so
I could be wrong. That said, I don't think it matters whether you do it
from master or under oer-map. Also I think you can set next hop even after
you have configured select-exit best/good but then you aren't actually
using select-exit you are over-riding it. So depending on how your question
was worded you might not get credit.
