When using PfR, where should you run your active probes? I've seen them run both under the OER Master command and under the OER-MAP. Does it matter?
*Yes it does. You can assign an active-probe to a forced target prefix within an OER map or generally assign it to the longest-match prefix under the oer master command.* If you are using active probes and you have a select exit as best|good can you still set next-hop under the OER-MAP? * I would prefer to use link-groups to control exit interface. Set next-hop **is ideally for OER sinkhole filtering.* Is there ever a need to set the active probe interface on the OER Border? If so, when should you do this? *When by design or constraint the target of critical active probes is not reachable from default exit interface address. * * * I've looked through the documentation on PfR, but I can't find any firm answers to these questions. Can anyone help? *HTH* * * On 16 December 2012 22:14, marc abel <[email protected]> wrote: > I'm reaching back in my memory because I haven't labbed this in a while so > I could be wrong.
