Hey All,
In Wkbk 1, Lab 23, Question 23.4, the book states to enable GTS on a frame
sub-interface. It also specifically states "No excess bursts should be
allowed."
However, the DSG shows the following for the config:
"traffic-shape group 101 9600"
When you check it out, you see:
4(config-subif)#do sh traffic-shape s0/0/0.24
Interface Se0/0/0.24
Access Target Byte Sustain Excess Interval Increment Adapt
VC List Rate Limit bits/int bits/int (ms) (bytes) Active
- 101 9600 1992 7968 7968 885 996 -
- 102 32000 2000 8000 8000 250 1000 -
- 103 22400 1988 7952 7952 361 994 -
So, to fully meet this requirement, since it appears to allow excess burst by
default, wouldn't you need to specify similar to the following:
R4(config-subif)#traffic-shape group 101 9600 ?
<0-100000000> bits per interval, sustained
<cr>
R4(config-subif)#traffic-shape group 101 9600 9600 ?
<0-100000000> bits per interval, excess in first interval
<cr>
R4(config-subif)#traffic-shape group 101 9600 9600 0
R4(config-subif)#
Thanks for any advice,
Rob
