I don't know the official answer to this but I highly doubt it. I think
anything electronic is banned. You can bring ear plugs but honestly the
noise didn't bother me much at all. Just minimal/typical background noise.
The voice guys do ring their phones a bit but the volume is turned down
pretty low. I was so engrossed in the lab that none of it phased me a bit.
