Hallo Experts,
I have an amusing behavior of mpls-vpn that has left me speculating whether
it’s me who is erroneous or it’s an ordinary mpls-vpn behavior. The
scenario is;
HQ Site ----->(c) PE1 {x}------> P (b)------> PE2 (a)-------> Branch
I have setup all required to make the branch site communicate with HQ in
that I can ping HQ from Branch and vice varsa successfully. My traceroute
too works magnificently well however the next hop destinations is puzzling
- it follows the hops namely a--->b ---->c ----> HQ. Why is the 3rd hop not
{x} as the normal process?
Kindly clear my uncertainty.
