My take on that is a simple one - if you want to be a CCIE, better get ready to know your commands, what, why and how they do things. When you've done that, "memorizing" them will be no issue.
I *highly* recommend using Notepad for configuration and equally highly recommend not relying on aliases during your study. -- Marko Milivojevic - CCIE #18427 (SP R&S) Senior CCIE Instructor / Managing Partner - iPexpert :: Free Video Training: http://youtube.com/iPexpertInc :: Social: http://twitter.com/@icemarkom | http://fb.me/ccie18427 :: iPexpert: http://www.ipexpert.com/Communities | +1-810-326-1444 On Thu, Jan 16, 2014 at 11:43 AM, Imran Ali <[email protected]> wrote: > hi team , > > I see a lot of people talk about use NOTEPAD approach , though i > have never tried this approach due to fact that for a minor typo , i > have to repaste it once again !! > > apart from that i have to memorize command syntax !! for me time > spend on memorizing commands is difficult > > we cannot use tab completion feature > > instead i use alias to speed up configuration .. > > what is your take on this approach ?? > > > On Thu, Jan 16, 2014 at 8:19 PM, Marko Milivojevic <[email protected]>wrote: > >> Just a small note - you cannot carry over the configurations from the >> troubleshooting to the configuration section, as they are in different >> Windows profiles and there is no common accessible equipment shared by the >> two sections.
