I tried to connect two 7961 phones as per this article from CCIE Blog

so basically I had connected to Proctorlab using Cisco Soft Client using my
Wirless interface: 192.168.1.1. I enabled ICS on this interface.
I configured static interface '192.168.0.1' and then connect phones back to
back using power cube. On one phone I assigned 192.168.0.5 /24 with default
route 192.168.0.1, tftp- 10.10.110.3 and on 2nd phone 192.168.0.6/24, tftp
10.10.210.10.
However I could not register this phone with UCM or CME; i made sure Mac id and
phone types were setup correct on UCM & CME. I captured packets on ethernet
port using wireshark, but did not see any packet.
Does anyone else had similar issue and if yes can you please share some
guidance?
