Hello:
First: with gw-priority 0 the call will never be routed thorugh this gw
Second: You are right this command isn't necessary if you are using somenthing
like this:
zone prefix PL 5... gw-priority 10 gk-trunk_1
zone prefix PL 5... gw-priority 9 gk-trunk_2

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Zone prefix commands for lab 4A - 4.6
I am a little confused with the solution for question 4.6 specifically the Zone
prefix commands.. The solution has the following zone prefix commands on the HQ
RTR in addition to others
HQRTR(config-gk)#zone prefix PL 5... gw-priority 10 gk-trunk2
;;;;;;;
;;;;;;
;;;;;;
;;;;
HQRTR (config-gk)#zone prefix PL 5... gw-priority 0 BR2-RTR
HQRTR (config-gk)#zone prefix PL 1... gw-priority 0 BR2-RTR
What I don't understand is that the 5XXX and 1XXX are DNs in the HQ and BR1
locations and are to be routed to the CallManager(using the other zone prefix
commands, so why do we need these zone prefix commands?
Thanks
Kalyan
