Angel,
Yes, in CCME version 4.1 and later, a SIP phone supports MOH from other SIP,
SCCP and POTS endpoints.
The “ccm-manager music-on-hold” command enables the multicast MOH feature on a
voice gateway. It is required on mgcp and H.323 gateways as a work around to
invoke the dsp for the multicast packets to be received at the gateway be sent
out the pots interface.
When using unicast moh on the CCME router, moh works fine to the PSTN without
this command, however lets say you also had a requirement for BACD. At that
point, you will then need the ccm-m music-on-hold cmd. So the best advice is
to apply it to all gateways.
HTH,
Amy

Yes it won't heart, but I 've asked it becouse I notice that moh was working at
pstn phone without this command, this is way I thought that this command is
needed when the moh is streamed from cucm or other gw...
thanks

Hi Angel,
You need the ccm-manager music-on-hold command even if you want to use local
streamed MOH. As a rule of thumb, always put in that command on all your VGW,
it wont heart anything.

Amy:
Thanks for the answer, you are right unicast moh works only to external calls
(not to internal sccp phones), I suppose that with sip phones is different,
becouse from the gw point of view sip phones are just sip dial-peer so I guess
that this is way it was working for sip phones in the other gw I had.
Correct me if I'm wrong, ccm-manager music-on-hold command is only needed when
you want to play music on hold to pstn and the moh it's streamed from ccm?

Angel,
You are correct, unicast works out of the box with the single command “moh
music-on-hold.au” added to telephony-service (as long as that is the same name
of the moh file located in flash, which looks correct below).
How are you conducting your test? The reason I ask is that Internal CUME calls
only support MOH if the “multicast moh” command is used. If this is how you
are testing, try calling out to the PSTN phone and pressing hold on the ephone.
Do you hear MOH on the PSTN phone then?
If that doesn’t work, remove all configuration assoc. with MMOH, including the
moh music-on-hold.au command. Then only add back moh music-on-hold.au command
in telephony service.
Let us know your results,
Amy

Hi all:
Is this the only command needed to allow unicast moh on cme and sccp phones?
telephony-service
moh music-on-hold.au
Of course music-on-hold.au file should be present on flash
dir
1 -rw- 496521 Feb 22 2010 02:01:12 -08:00 music-on-hold.au
I have also change from:
ephone 1
no multicast-moh
to
ephone 1
multicast-moh
and viceversa but I still hear beep beep beep instead moh, is a strange
behaviour becouse with the same configuration at other gw (and sip phones) i'm
able to hear the music...
Any idea would be apreciated
