Hi Shrini,

Did the testing, worked for me, you need to check the Maximum number of
call and Busy Trigger on the line on which you are dialling.

Warm Regards,
Vinay Kumar

RE: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] RSVP based CAC

Correction :

with ip rsvp bandwidth 88 , AAR is invoking after 3 calls.

But if I increase the rsvp b/w to 112 , 4 calls are going through WAN
which is perfect, but the 5th call is getting busy tone and AAR is not
triggering.

Thanks
Shrini

Hi Vinay,

I tried the same and got it worked with same configuration. I am facing
another problem now.
I have AAR configured too.

with ip rsvp bandwidth 88 , AAR is invoking after 3 calls. But if I
increase the rsvp b/w AAR is not triggering. Just getting "Not enough
bandwidth".

Any pointers for troubleshooting is appreciated.

Thanks
Shrini

Make sure that you can ping the bind interface from CUCM (142.102.64.254)
Also make sure that you haven’t put any bandwidth in the locations.

Your routers config looks good, except there is no need to add ip rsvp
bandwidth on all interface. Please try to remove the above command from
all interface and keep it only in the serial interface. Also go to
cucm>Media> MTP and make sure that MTPs are registred with correct bind
address, also in the MRGL try to keep the MTP in the priority 1 and reset
your phones.
Ah don’t forget to resync the bandwidth in your locations.

Yes, it works fine if I make changes to Locations and the reservation as
no Reservation. As soon as i make it as Mandatory the call does not go
through.I have tried to make the bandwidth as 120, still it fails.

Warm Regards,
Vinay Kumar

Can you paste the full config of your HQ and BR1 routers. If you remove
the rsvp, you can make calls between HQ and BR1?

Yes, It is registered.

Apr 29 10:47:45.600: RSVP 10.10.11.1_17198->10.10.10.1_17944[0.0.0.0]:
RESV: no path information for 10.10.10.1

Where 10.10.10.1 is HQ MTP and 10.10.11.1 is BR MTP IP.

because of which the RSVP is not getting initiated.

Not sure how to fix this.

Codec is g729 and g722 is disabled in enterprise parameters.

From the debug on the gateways I found a message which says RSVP
Confirmation not required.

What is the codec between regions? Make sure you’re using g729 and disable
the g722 advertising and also the iLBC

Hi,

Trying to configure Location based CAC using RSVP, have done the
configuration buut it always says not enough bandwidth even though i have
given ample bandwidth on the serial interfaces.

Steps used to configure:

Configured MTP on the HQ and Branches-Registered to HQ and Branch DP.
Assigned the HQ and Branch MTPs to respective DPs using MRGL.
Created Location for HQ and Branch and assigned to respective DPs.
Reservation is mandatory.
Codec used on between the regions is G729.
