My client (who should hang their head in shame) is still using VSS.
I'm trying to setup a Continous Integration Server (CCNET) and failing
miserably. When I invoke the command line instance "ss.exe" it picks
up the user name from either the NT logon or the ssuer env variable.
So far so good. The problem is that once you enter the password that
it prompts for it declares that the user doesn't exist.

In this case I've created a user ccnet with a password ccnet and all
the variations of the username I've tried (ccnet; \dev-edc\ccnet; \
\dev-edc\ccnet) have failed. Is there something clever (or very
stupid) I'm missing here? Another format to specify the username.
ccnet is sourcesafe only user - but I have tried the same with regular
NT Domain user.

The machine is on the same domain as the source safe database and the
gui launches without any prompting.

I've seen this page:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/asxkfzy4(VS.80).aspx
and can't see anything.

Feeling like an idiot in Ottawa

BTW I know this is not VSS mailing list - but I'm at a loss as to
better place to ask this question. Sorry for the off topic post.

Cheers
