I like using delphi (from the Honig lab, $500).

I second that. No nonsense of building hydrogens. Hence, the calculation
time and memory requirements of delphi are only a fraction of those of mead
and apbs.
Then check out this page:

Chimera (http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera) has a GUI driven delphi
controller. Very easy to use.

Hi
Our lab has been using GRASP for making surface maps. But since we'r
slowly retiring our SGI, and GRASP only runs only SGI, what other
programs
are there for making surface maps? that's easy to use and free!
Thanks
Andrew
