Thank you everyone for you suggestions. Looks like I have a lot to consider !. I am currently performing MR with the new data (C2 and I222) so that I can attempt to rebuild with ARP/wARP at high resolution. I also intend to refine in both spacegroups at low resolution, under the assumption that if I222 is wrong the symmetry will break down at higher resolution along with the refinement. I have begun MR with different search models and some of these have been successful, although initial rigid body refinement shows no decrease in Rfree/Rwork, as per my initial trials. I will also look at P1 again, and make my through the other suggestions. I'll write another post once I have made some more progress. Thanks again. cheers, Iain
