Structural and functional studies of neurotrophic factors and their  
receptor complexes.

The Goldman and Saarma laboratories are looking for a postdoctoral  
fellow to continue studies of GDNF receptor complexes, following on  
their recent determination of the structure of GFRa1 (EMBO J, 23,  
1452).  Binding and cell-biological assays will be used to determine  
the relevant complexes, and structures will be solved by x-ray  
crystallography.  The project is part of a long-standing  
investigation into neurotrophic factors.

You should have a Ph. D. and relevant expertise in biochemistry,  
molecular/neurobiology and/or x-ray crystallography. Experience in  
expressing mammalian proteins in insect cells is considered a bonus.  
The monthly salary will depend on qualifications and experience, and  
the prevailing salary scale at the University of Helsinki.

and previous degrees obtained, prior research experience, publication
