A postdoctoral position in structural biology is available at Dr. Hong Ling's Laboratory in the Department of Biochemistry, University of Western Ontario, Canada. The research is focused on translesion DNA replication and regulation of DNA damage response. The current projects are built on our success in cloning, expression and purification of the key proteins in the biological systems. Combined approaches in molecular biology, biophysics and X-ray crystallography are employed in the structure-function studies of the key proteins. The laboratory is fully equipped for molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics and X-ray crystallography analyses.
The position requires a Ph.D. degree with experience in molecular cloning, protein purification, crystallization and structure determination with prior publications. The University of Western Ontario is located in London, Ontario. London is a comfortable city (population: 350,000) with a reasonable cost of living. It is close to major North American cities, such as Toronto and Detroit. Please send CV and the names of three references to Dr. Hong Ling by email at hli...@uwo.ca.
