There are a number of inexpensive USB microscopes available from various Chinese sources. While not exactly wonderful, they're of passable quality for very little money. I do own several of the "Optivisor" binocular magnifiers--the DA-10 is the one you're most likely to see perched on my head, but it's not powerful enough for very fine work. I have a B&L Stereozoom microscope which is great for fine inspection, but it's clearly unsuited to your task, as it requires the object to be placed on the microscope stage. But I suspect the USB microscope, being small and many with their own illumination, may be just the ticket. >From another old man with bad eyes, Chuck
