Indeed. A file mark is 17 octal with even parity, regardless of the data parity (odd in this case). The puzzling thing is the 00 octal in odd parity before the LRCC (17 and even). Looking at the raw data, this may be a tape of DEC sixbit, since 00 seems to be the space character. --Chuck
