I too had a soft spot for Windows 98 Second Edition. I ran it for a LONG time.

I found it quite stable and used it for a server for a school in '99-'00 before putting a Linux box in place the following year.

They had 98SE, it worked, and I was able to get it stable for a lab of ~20 other 98SE machines.
