Yep, patch was applied. FEATURE/unistd.lcl was a good hint - it had
no line 7, and it seems it hadn't been updated since aug of 2012. I
was building this off of an nfs mounted dir. Seems there are some
issues with that - cloning the repo to the machine locally seems to
have been the answer. It built and ran fine.

This one I will look at later today or tomorrow. It appears to be a
completely different issue than above. This tree is already cloned
locally to the VM (no nfs).
