Where did you download the deb? And what's the output of "dpkg -L > libcdk-java" (assuming that's the package name)?
I acquired the package from: deb http://debian.wgdd.de/debian unstable main contrib non-free as described here: http://almost.cubic.uni-koeln.de/cdk/cdk_top/docu/install/ dpkg -L yields a rather disappointing /usr/share/java /usr/share/java/cdk-apps.jar /usr/share/java/cdk-core.jar /usr/share/java/cdk-experimental.jar /usr/share/java/cdk-extra.jar /usr/share/java/cdk-io.jar /usr/share/java/cdk-libio.jar /usr/share/java/cdk-render.jar /usr/share/java/cdk-standard.jar /usr/share/bug /usr/share/bug/libcdk-java /usr/share/bug/libcdk-java/control /usr/share/bug/libcdk-java/presubj /usr/share/doc /usr/share/doc/libcdk-java /usr/share/doc/libcdk-java/NEWS.Debian.gz /usr/share/doc/libcdk-java/changelog.gz /usr/share/doc/libcdk-java/README.Debian /usr/share/doc/libcdk-java/copyright /usr/share/doc/libcdk-java/changelog.Debian.gz This is clearly lacking a cdk-data.jar I have now downloaded the binary jar from sourceforge and now I'm back to problems I should be able to solve myself. Thanks for steering me towards the source of the problem, viz an ancient CDK distribution. Kieron Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
