Yes, thanx for pointing this out... I guess this is indeed not clear to the outside... JChemPaint-NG is really maturing now, and one big important refactoring was that it is now widget set indepdendent, and has SWT and Swing support. This was not easy but the involved programmers (Niels, Arvid, Gilleain and Stefan) have been working really hard on it working out the design started 2 years ago. The upside of this is, is that the current new JChemPaint can be used as applet, as Java Swing application *and* as SWT Widget/Editor in Eclipse-RCP applications, like Bioclipse (which just released a final beta, where you can try the new JChemPaint-SWT in action). The new design has *many* advantages, not all shown to full power yet, but is more flexible, and you can expect much better customization, etc. Effectively, this will likely enable us to make a small (<50kB) JChemPaint applet, of course with limited functionality compared to the full-blown CDK-enriched one, but should be a fully functional molecule editor.
