Hello, I try to make substructure search with jchempaint applet and a MySQL database. I use MyChem ( http://mychem.sourceforge.net ) to generate SMILES in my database.
Is there any system to convert a classic SMILES into a SMARTS code or the contrary ? Could we get a SMARTS code directly from the applet like getSmiles() javascript function ? Maybe, SMARTS is not the best thing to use with SMILES search (...) I can have the SMILES of the substructure in jchempaint but a SMILES search will not work (due to complexity of SMILES). Any help would be greatfull. Thanks. PS : My code will be soon avalaible on sourceforge.
