Hi Jonty, Jchempaint development was somewhat ahead of the core CDK drawing packages, so the two have diverged a little. As you say, this is an evolutionary intermediate stage along the way to a proper refactoring. That said, JCP might still need some specialised generators that are not in the core package, but not duplicate ones.
Of course, the goal should be (and is!) to clean all this up, there are no formal plans for doing so.
