Hi Alan, OpenOffice.org do not dispatch cd's/dvd's etc. As I'm not sure of your location, may I suggest that you go to www.openoffice.org and go to 'order cd'. This will give you a country by country list of Community Distributors, who would gladly mail you a disc. Most make a small charge to cover costs.
The latest version for Windows - from 98 se up to and including Vista is 2.4- and would suggest that you make sure if you contact them that their version includes Java. Unless you are severely restricted by download speeds, you could of course just go to www.openoffice.org then look for 'get OpenOffice now'. Download the file - choose SAVE, and not run.
