SATA drives nowadays appear as sg,sr,scd. Seen from outside it is quite like good old ide-scsi. There is no indication that the new SATA driver code in general would provoke failures like the ones reported by growisofs. But of course the individual kernel version might have a bug. Shrug. Life on kernel 2.4 is good. Only old bugs. Have a nice day :) Thomas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
