Lynn, I'm glad you mentioned the Bin Ladens being in New York when 9/11 happened. Osama must have known the itineraries of his relatives and calculated that with the Bin Laden clan slated to be in New York on 9/11/2001, Bush and the other stooges probably felt that the last thing Osama would do was to attack America while his clan was over here. He never suspected that the Bin Ladens' being in New York was the perfect time for Osama to attack. It was of course entirely possible that someone in the Bin Laden clan was working with Osama to assure that a lot of them would be in New York at that precise moment when the planes would be hijacked.
In chess, there is an opening called a Queens Gambit. You sacrifice a pawn on the queen side so you can attack on the king side. Al Qaida seemingly were thwarted in Genoa when their announced intention to fly planes into the buildings where the Group of 8 meetings were being held. That was the gambit. The real target was New York and D.C., and the Bin Laden family being in New York at the time, Bush, Cheney and Condoleeza Rice never suspected that Bin Laden would attack New York. Condoleeza Rice said nobody suspected that Al Qaida would commandeer planes and fly them into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. What she actually meant was that Bush, Cheney, Rice and others in the administration never suspected it. But the truth was a lot of people in the intelligence community knew that Al Qaida was planning an attack using planes as missiles. Heck, the planned attack in Genoa was precisely an attack that would use hijacked planes as missiles.
