Mine is google talk as well. The only reason I would say they haven't
changed the protocol is pidgin still works but that doesn't really meant
anything.

I'm having the same with jabber (googletalk), I was thinking that they have
changed something in the protocol.
By the way I can access these via pidgin so my logins are correct and
acceptable.
