I have one other very strange event happening, I've opened a ticket on it: http://tracker.ceph.com/issues/14766
During this migration, OSD failed probably over 400 times while moving data around. We move the empty directories and restarted the OSDs. I can't say if this is related--I have no reason to suspect it is.
