If they're using phase encoding or similar, that's pushing the ragged edge I
think. Won't take much dip in the S/N before that comes back to bite you on the

They support many encoding schemes, and will use all channels in each direction.
As conditions degrade, the speed will slow.
The top speed is using 1024-QAM modulation, it will then fall back to 256-QAM
(which is the top that 802.11ac will use), and then to 64-QAM (which is the top
of 802.11n)
This has far more in common with old fashioned microwave links than Wi-Fi
