Never have any regrets...

I studied Industrial Design for degree, and then did an Msc in computing and
design.
The course wanted a mix of CS people and designers to push mental boundaries
of both parties..

All I know is I built Lego techniques as a kid (and played Elite on BBC
Micro and Atari packman), have always been facinated by how something was
put together and put together well (sheer professionalism)...

Guess you have got to really love what you do... the you do it well...

> also having a logical and mathematical mind, it helps a lot

gotta be a prerequisite in my book...

>From experience I find that people who love it tend to fall into it
naturally and communicate very well,
this is not gospel but CS background people sometimes can be intimidated by
(pure computer blood Guru's who have not done a degree),
I'm well far from a Guru, but get well excited when around one ..

I guess what I'm trying to say is that SOME CS people think they're it....

I don't think he is saying you -cant-, he is saying -how- did you pick up
those skills.

My degree was in English, but I had started out in CS, so I got a minor in
CS and picked up all the low level logic, data structures, etc. type
classes. My only regret is that when I started college, they were still
using Modula2 as the language of choice. Right after I switched to English
they started using C++.
