You guys should see the war I have going on with a "so called owner" of
another list!
Now, a little background. The HOF lists are the first real lists I've ever
belonged to other than subscriptions to newsletters or newsgroups. And I've
only belonged to HOF since end of January I believe.

Now, am I complete idiot? Do I not know HOW to send an email? My email
etiquette might be off here and there, but I try. As far as us all being
professionals in one way or another, some of the stuff that goes on here,
may not seem appropriate in the eyes of others, but it gives us all, whether
we are contractors, employees, or business owners, a way of venting a little
steam. Therefore, my rant.
Anyway, back to this "other list". (if anyone wants to know who it is, send
me an email off-line. I don't want to flame this person on "another" list,
that would be rude on my part, so they shall remain nameless. I can also
include the entire email that he replied with. Very, very rude.).
The list is run by Majordomo software. I've never belonged to a Majordomo
list. Does that make me inadequate? The owner sure thinks so. In the welcome
email that gets automatically spewed, there is not a single sentence that
tells you how to post to the list. But in several places there are
references to posting to the owner of the list with any problems. And that
is wehere I probably went wrong. I simply sent a test message, hoping that
the reply I would get, would be something to the effect of, "use this
address to send posts to the list: blah blah blah..." . Nope. Instead, I was
told how completely wrong my email was, how useless, how I can't email, my
signature sucks, this that, etc, etc. and he unsubscribed me. Period.

Wow, professionalism at it's best. My part and his. I feel so ashamed.
