I know someone asked me about this exact function a while back, but I have
no email trail to follow. If you're out there... this one's for you! Outlook
..PST files are large enough without file attachments, so imagine the
horrendous file sizes you can get if you keep all of those attachments in
there! The problem is that you may need the email itself, but once you've
saved the attachment elsewhere, you're still stuck with it in your mailbox.
I'm like a lot of people and use Outlook as my personal filing cabinet, so I
know all about attachment bloat. Todi is an Outlook 2000 add-in that rescues
you from this problem by stripping the attachments from messages, saving
them all to a designated location. A pointer is inserted into the message so
you don't forget where Todi put the attached file.
