I thought Bush and Cheney said there was a connection between Saddam and Al
Qaeda, but that connection did not relate to 9/11.
Just that at times Saddam allowed them save passage and protection.
In a press conference over a month ago Bush said there was no link between
Saddam and 9/11 but that Saddam did support terrorism in general and in some
cases did support and allow Al Qaeda sub groups to operate in Iraq.
