Heard on NPR this morning:
"While campaigning in North Carolina, the President was asked how the
charismatic Edwards stacks up against his own running mate, Dick Cheney. Mr.
Bush had a quick answer: "Dick Cheney can be President".
Kerry would later turn that dig, at Edwards' level of experience, on it's
head: "He was right, that Dick Cheney was ready to take over on Day 1, and
he did, and he has been ever since."
Zing. Politics can be fun sometimes.
