While I agree with the sentiment the truth simply doesn't follow.  Every
vote really doesn't count in the Electoral College system, its as simple as
that.

Let's say that through some fabulous people skills every single person in
Massachusetts were to vote - fully 100%, not the usual 15-30%.  Well, so
what?  The exact same number of electoral votes would be cast by
Massachusetts.

In truth every single vote just doesn't matter (at least in a presidential
election).

Gore did make some good points though.  One is that "Every vote counts"

in encouraging everyone to not shirk their duty and that is to register to
vote
and cast their ballots regardless of who one votes for.

Whatever one thinks about his qualifications, he still will be able to claim
the
majority of the popular vote, and that will continue to give him some
stature in
