Actually, I took the post about the Goss statement as meaning that he felt the
intelligence services are moving to a higher standard for officers, which is a
good thing.
His experience as a former agent, and his experience with politics would qualify
him for the post in my opinion. More so that the Father Bush who held the post.
Therefore I did not view it as low road at all. but a rather humble statement
made by a man considering his experience and understanding of the job that needs
to be done.
That said, I usually find Howie's posts quite pertinent to the subject at hand.
